I've been writing website code since June '08 and now with my Diploma in Web Design and as a Professional Web Designer am now a member of the Association of Certified IT Professionals (ACITP).
Hand-coding websites seems to be getting more old-fashioned by the day but I believe it's the surest way to have an error-free, W3C web standards compliant website which is also optimised for the search engines (like Google, Bing etc).
SEO (search engine optimisation) is an entire time-consuming subject all of its' own, and this important practice is an element which is in-built into my web-building work. Like with most modern technology-related updates, SEO is an on-going process of change, learning, update, and so on.
